The upper control arm is where the top of the suspension strut attaches to the car. It is a pivoting arm that goes up and down with the wheel. This helps with wheel clearance for larger tyres while also correcting the steering geometry of the wheels with a greater level of adjustment and accurate alignment.With 2 inches of lift, on factory UCAs, we often find that we run out of adjustment to achieve the correct alignment for the camber and caster. This can then result in driveline vibrations, premature wear of vehicle components, and very likely excessive wear on tyres!

Upper Control Arms – What Are They
- Designed to ensure there is an adequate amount of adjustment after installing a lift
- An adjustable upper control arm ensures that your vehicle can achieve the optimum camber and caster setting for a perfect wheel alignment of up to 2-4 inches of lift
- Additionally, available adjustment is maintained to be able to set caster which ensures your tyres sit correctly for improved clearance on guards.
- When matched with a longer travel strut, upper control arms accommodate a great amount of droop, which allows greater wheel travel and articulation which means greater traction on undulating terrain.
- While they do a great job, with bushes made from polyurethane and do a great job and ball joints from polyurethane, after time they will wear out.
- Upper control arms have camber and caster adjustable ball joints which are compatible with your factory standard bushes and ball joints, allowing these parts to be replaced in normal servicing.
- No additional modifications are required to your vehicle.
- Upper Control Arm kit will slot straight in to your vehicle and line up perfectly with all the other factory components.
